Miss Vermont’s Outstanding Teen 2019 is Danielle Trottier, a 17-year-old student at Spaulding Highschool.
In the fall of 2020 Danielle will attend The University of Alabama, Tuscaloosa to begin pursuing a degree program of pre-medical psychology and a minor in dance. Following Danielle’s phenomenal participation in the Miss America’s Outstanding Teen 2019 Competition, and in part with her long and varied academic career, she was awarded a scholarship for full tuition at The University of Alabama.
An avid dancer, Danielle performed a jazz dance routine to “Cinema Italiano” to win the title of Miss Vermont’s Outstanding Teen. She hopes to have careers as a professional dancer and as a child psychiatrist. Dance has been a major part of her life and she has formed her platform around these two passions. Throughout her year of service, she will promote her platform, “Breaking Barriers at the Barre” which aims to make dance accessible to individuals who would not normally be able to attend a regular dance class due to their disabilities.
Danielle competed for the title of Miss America’s Outstanding Teen 2020 in Orlando, Florida in July.
