Miss Vermont 2019: Jillian Fisher

Jillian Fisher, 20, of Burlington was crowned Miss Vermont 2019 at the Chandler Center for the Arts on June 1st, 2019.  Fisher is a student at the University of Vermont pursuing a degree in Animal Science, and expects to graduate in the spring of 2020. She plans to become a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine.  She is a vocalist and performed Dream On by Aerosmith in the talent portion of the competition.

In addition to the title of Miss Vermont, Jillian Fisher earned $5,000 in cash scholarships, including a $1,000 Stowe Rotary scholarship, and $3,550 of in-kind scholarships to Dale Carnegie of Vermont.

Jillian’s Social Impact Initiative is “Fighting Addiction”.  She hopes to work with programs throughout the state that education children about the dangers of drug use. Miss Vermont 2019 will represent the state at the 2020 Miss America Competition.

Miss Vermont’s Outstanding Teen 2019: Danielle Trottier

The Miss Vermont program also crowned their teen ambassador.  Danielle Trottier, 17, of Barre is the new Miss Vermont’s Outstanding Teen. A dancer, she performed a Jazz piece to “Cinema Italiano” during the talent competition in the show. Trottier is a student at Spaulding High School, and will be promoting her platform, “Breaking Barriers at the Barre”, as Miss Vermont’s Outstanding Teen.

In addition to the title of Miss Vermont’s Outstanding Teen, Danielle earned $1,100 in cash scholarships and $3,550 of in-kind scholarships to Dale Carnegie of Vermont.

Danielle represented Vermont at the Miss America’s Outstanding Teen competition in Orlando, Florida this July, and had an amazing time with her sisters!
