Danielle’s journey to become Miss Vermont started many years ago when she became the Children’s Miracle Network Hospital’s Champion Child for the state of Vermont at just 15 years old. In 2014 as the CMNH Champion Child Danielle traveled around Vermont to share the importance of the Children’s Hospital at UVM Medical Center. During one of these trips she met Miss Vermont 2013, Jeanelle Achee, and future Miss Vermont 2015, Alayna Westcom. Their impact on her helped her to conceive of the dream of one day being Miss Vermont.
In May of 2021, Danielle graduated from Castleton University in Castleton Vermont. She will continue to practice nursing during her year of service as Miss Vermont as an Operating Room Nurse.
Danielle is a life-long resident of Addison County Vermont, and an avid participant in all of the wonder that her hometown has to offer. When she’s not baking, painting, fishing, or snowmobiling, you can find her volunteering for the Whiting Fire Department. Danielle has been involved with her local fire department since she was in high school.
Before the 2021 Miss Vermont Competition, Danielle competed in 2019 and served as Miss Addison County through 2020. At the May 30th 2021 competition in Vergennes Vermont, Danielle performed a talent of speed painting to Johnny Cash’s “Ring of Fire.” She was awarded the Spirit Award by her fellow candidates, and the People’s Choice Award.
Danielle will compete for the title of Miss America 2022 at the Mohegan Sun Arena in Montville, CT in December 2021.
