After Miss Vermont is selected, she embarks on her year of service. As a spokesperson and advocate, Miss Vermont travels throughout the state, addressing diverse audiences, increasing awareness and promoting the Miss Vermont Scholarship Organization and her chosen platform.

Miss Vermont delegate eligibility requirements:
– Participants must be at least 18 by the date of competition, and no older than 28 as of December 31, 2023.
– Be a high school graduate or equivalent by the date of competition
– Participants must be a United States citizen and must have resided in Vermont, be enrolled in and attending school in Vermont, or work full time in Vermont for 90 days prior to the competition.
– Participants must compete in all phases of competition, must meet the character criteria as set forth by the Miss America Organization, and must be in reasonably good health to meet the position requirements.
